Interior Designs, Inc

This is a personal design blog so I never talk about where I work, but most of you know I run a furniture showroom. I have been managing Interior Designs, Inc. on Magazine Street for almost five years. It is the only furniture in the city, other than Jon Vaccari, that I love. We do custom pieces from R & Y Augousti, Lee Industries upholstery, Longstreet photography, Made Goods Mirrors, petrified wood stumps from Java, just to name a few. The owner lives in North Carolina and only comes in to town once every few months so it really is just me all by my lonesome (with Smokey Joe, the store cat). Today I thought I would show you a few pics of my store...I am open on Saturdays, so while the rest of you are off for the weekend, I will be right here...mostly shopping but partly working...these photos do not do it justice - every piece is really a work of art!

Looks like an awesome place to work! All of that inspiration in one spot! Did you do all the styling too? How fun!

I actually wouldn't mind working on a Saturday, I know that sounds crazy! I'll be thinking of you while I run around town to go to a 1-year-old birthday party, a BBQ, a bridesmaid dress appointment, and lunch with the in-laws. ;o)

Thanks, girl - my style is def influenced by this place - just a little more vintage and modern. But it is a beautiful place to work...someone asked me yesterday what happens when I am sick since it is just me. I don't get sick!

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to actually work in a pretty environment. Corporate life looks nothing like this. The showroom is gorgeous! I'm particularly loving the first coffee table and those lamps!

Your shop looks lovely! I love the curved dresser and lamp on it as well! Just send those pretties to live in my foyer..please and thanks!! I work some Saturdays too. I get bummed because I have to leave my kiddos and hubby..but it's a pottery studio. So it's art..and I dig it! Glad you fixed the comment thingy!
Enjoy your weekend
