What I have been doing with myself this week...

So this past weekend was chaotic and great...I have been so depressed over Japan and the ever escalating natural disasters. Please donate if you can (us Hurricane Katrina peeps remember what it felt like for people to ignore or forget about us...) Trying to get on with life I did the following:

1. The 'rents came in for Sunday brunch. Mr B's is a New Orleans institution and the eggs benedict should be immortalized with a statue in Jackson Square. Thanks, Juju and E!

2. We are really coming along with my client Jamie's entry. Waiting on the art (moth prints) and lantern now, and ordering dining chairs tomorrow!

3. Meanwhile, my own apartment looks like a storage facility. I had to spend my day off cleaning up the piles of accessories, swatches, and magazines...

4. Spent a blissful hour checking out Thom Filicia's line of fabrics for Kravet. It is graphic and bright!

5. I collect candlesticks (among other accessories) - found this entire 9 piece set online for $50 bucks! - they are on their way to me as we speak...

6. Matt Damon is an honest politician who will let nothing get in between him and his love??? Yes, please, and thank you!

7. Trying to decide if I should buy this nasty green sofa and have it recovered in white linen. It is a one of a kind shape that would be special...Total redo cost, including purchase of sofa: $1800. There is a sectional I love at KMP (Monaco Sectional) that would be about $2300 that goes more with my modern glam look. I love projects, though... what do you think?

8. No pic with this one - got bug bites on my booty from my new Moroccan rug. Scheduled rug cleaning with the amazing Enrique's Rug Cleaning...gross but necessary on any textiles purchased from far away, people...

If you haven't signed up for the fabulous pillow giveaway, do it now! Winner announced on Friday!

Sabs - I did all those things, in that order, after seeing the constellation of bug bites on my ass. Thanks.

Just came across your blog via Lonely Wife Project and glad I did. You are hilarious! Love that desk top horse sculpture and glad you decided to get the couch. Can't wait to see the results!
