The Green Monster

My idea of happiness is finding something that everyone else thinks is a piece of garbage and turning it into something gorgeous. I got the green sofa I have been eyeing all weekend! Sure, it's covered in mold and stains, and has several major rips and tears in the fabric. I am quite sure it smells like the inside of a toilet, as well. I am grateful it looks so bad, because that scared everyone else away and all I saw were the beautiful bones. This butterfly-arm chesterfield style is a rarity, and there is no higher quality wood frame than the ones on old vintage pieces. Covered in linen with one long bench seat it is going to be a beauty! I can't wait to show you the finished product..but for now, marvel at the hideousness. :)

Oh boy oh boy...can't wait to see the transformation. You're right the bones of this piece are gorgeous...so many people overlook the potential thank goodness for people like us! I got a Thomasville side table out of the garbage years ago just because the cabinet door was broken...uh hello let's just remove it and add curtains. So glad I found your blog!

I am so excited about it but I love all colors and have the hardest time deciding - natural ivory linen or a bright jewel tone like hot pink or teal?? I can't decide...
