Lap Lover

I have a friend who swims laps consistently every morning. I say I can't because my hair turns green immediately in chlorine. I really can't because I am lazy. But if I had any one of these pools, I swear I would do it. Happy Memorial Day weekend!

One - piece wonders

Well, I have reached that age where I think one-piece swimsuits are more attractive on me. I need a little support up top and I like a swimsuit that looks like lingerie, as I will never be rough-housing in a pool, but more likely to be lounging at a spa or hopefully on a tropical vacation. However, if you are very active, I included a great Stella McCartney for Adidas suit here that is gorgeous for those lap swimmers. These are all available through Pret-a-Porter. What do you think? Hope you are having an amazing summer!

Sexual Healing

Um, how sexy is this seating area? I don't often want to be lounging under a giant nipple, but since it is a triptych and the frames interrupt the body a little bit, I find this really lovely and modern. Would be a great bachelor pad look. Happy dry hump day... hehehe

Jenna Lyons leave me alone

Yes, you are adorable. Yes, you have taken over the entire female population of America and made them wear sequin harem pants with striped tees. I cannot stop thinking about your black bedroom (and these others) and I do not want to desire it like everyone else. This has gone on long enough. Please let me go.

Lucite Shmoocite

We all love lucite. Here is a whole buttload of my fave uses. My coffee table was from Wisteria and my candlesticks are vintage Dorothy Thorpe (always on Ebay) but if you want to have something done custom, you must use Plexi-Craft. They will do anything you design, any size, custom.
Oh, and I have got to sell my lucite desk/dining table - no room for it! Let me know if you are interested...

What I have been doing with myself this week...

This past couple of weeks has been super busy. I made many visits to the fabric stores looking for a blue ikat fabric for my mom, who wants traditional but fresh drapes...

While there I saw this pinky marbelized fabric for only 16 bucks a yard - is it super cool or just weird?

Went over to a client's home for a final visit. We did a uber traditional space with her antiques and oriental rugs in a sky-high condo. It is so her and very soothing.

You know I have been feverishly working on a secret (which is ongoing) so I still need your prayers! When I couldn't take the stress anymore, I took Charlie to Audubon Park for long walks and we looked at the swans...I feel so lucky to have this amazing park to exercise in! I am also so grateful to Leslie for keeping Charlie so I can still see him!

I also wasted tons of time at work watching clips of Louis CK, the comedian. What is most hilarious is that I don't find him physically attractive, but am so attracted to the way he thinks that I am in love with him! Check out his hilarious comedy at http://www.louisck.net/ . I sent him an email asking him out, but obvs I have gotten no response, not even a signed photo. Figures.

Have a fab weekend!

Is it just me?

This photo of a nursery was blogged the world over when Elizabeth Taylor passed a while back. It is a stunning photo of her, a gorgeous pink hue, and I think it makes great art. But not in a nursery. Am I alone in thinking that a woman in lingerie (portraying a prostitute in the movie Butterfield 8) is not the best art for a nursery? I think it would be amazeballs in a bachelorette or bachelor pad, bedroom or dressing room. Maybe I am just crazy...what do you think - inappropriate or pretty?

Fave bathroom ever!

I know I have said this a million times before about other, more interesting and extravagant baths. But those are dreams that would only fit in a huge house somewhere. This clean and simple bathroom, with chevron tile floors and slick corian counter,  is something that I could have in a sky-rise apartment and never, ever tire of. It is a classic. Love.

Were you raised in a barn?

Thank you so much for all your sweet words yesterday. You know how sometimes God doesn't give you what you ask for, but He gives you what you need? I will know more in about two weeks, but I think He gave me what I needed, by not giving me what I asked for today. On another note, I love rolling barn doors in interiors! hahaha  Hope you are all having a sensational week...E
