Evolution of a Home

I have had clients say to me that they did not want to purchase something, or paint or wallpaper walls for fear that in ten or fifteen years they would want to change it. To me, that is like saying you won't buy clothes or shoes this year because you likely won't like them in five years. Tastes change, styles change, and your home certainly experiences wear and tear. You should WANT to change it in fewer than ten years, but great, well-made pieces should last you through the changes. And of course you will enjoy the style now, as it is a reflection of you and your family at this time in your lives. See how Tia has completely revamped her home here. She has traded out almost every single item from three years ago - but you could create just as drastic a change with pillows, rugs, art, and paint.
Which version do you prefer?

Ohh I love the first photo! Somehow, that bright zebra room pulls it all together.

Great style!! I love the redo in the living room. The childs room changes looks fresh for a the in between tween stage but I could enjoy a siesta on that big fluffy duvet in the first shot of it. I get the itch to revamp and paint every 3 or 5 yrs too! Not afraid of the paint brush! ;D Enjoy your weekend

I love the top zebra living room and the bottom redo of the kitchen. I actually don't care for either pic of the daughter's room! hahaha
