Dream Home: Cottage Edition

Whenever people do posts on their dream home, I am always stumped because there is no way I could fit all my fave rooms in one style house. I have many different dream homes, from a big formal house to a small cottage, to a Hamptons estate to a mid century modern glass retreat to even a slick uptown skyrise apartment. Today's Dream Home series is my dream cottage. I tend to like smaller rooms over massive ones - with lots of dark places to curl up with a book or to watch a movie!

Welcome to my enchanted cottage

The entry is small but bright

Leading into a sunny/cozy front living room

Powder room adds a touch of glam

I am learning to cook and we love to play games here

The dark library is perfect for rainy day movie watching

Upstairs is my huge master bedroom

And marble bath

With attached dressing room/closet

And down the hall a perfect neutral nursery

I like to lie in the shade

While tons of friends and family play in the pool...
