designer i love: raji radhakrishnan

I think my favorite and most move-in ready room from this year's Kip's Bay showhouse was the one by Raji Radhakrishnan. She has only been working in design for about 7 years, can you believe it? It seems that a common element in all of her designs is the architectural or art photograph blown up into a wall mural. I think it looks absolutely sensational in the way she uses it, but almost all other wall murals look cheesy to me. I find her work to be so soothing and inviting, I could honestly live in any of these spaces! Happy weekend...

I wonder how she does those murals. I'm looking to do something similar, but I'm worried about resolution of the image I'd need to have?? They look gorgeous...

she did a tastemaker tag sale a while back, and I already had a bunch of stuff that she was selling and decided we must be style soul mates. Then I looked at her portfolio and while I appreciate it, I don't love it. I was probably just disappointed that we weren't all twin like. Is that weird? (I think you understand).

Oooh I likey! The murals are so cool bc of the atypical subject and style. Love the classical touch they add to otherwise contemporary rooms. Great find!
