Whenever I start spending too much time shopping and spending money, life finds a way to thump me on the head and let me know that I need to save and be more careful. This week it is a broken crown - will be $1200 to replace! ugh. So I can't recover my sofa right now - but I am so grateful that I had the money to take care of this and that it happened before I sent my things to the upholsterer!
Hope you are having a better hump day than me - off to the dentist...

Hats (crowns?) off to you lady, for seeing the silver lining of poverty.
Being poor is very annoying, though.
Wait...I am having the SAME problem. I've been spending all this money for my trip and then boom...I need a crown. I'm actually putting it off as long as I can. Ugh..I feel your pain. xo Elizabeth
I have a husband who makes me save for these kinds of emergencies. Unfortunately, it means putting off a lot of house projects so I know the feeling sistah!
Hate when you have to spend on necessities instead of things that make you happy. Hope the healing goes well! :D

Boo to teeth! They just get in the way of, ...wait....scratch that.
But, too bad your dentist doesn't do upholstery on the side, and offer a two for one special. sorry E! Plus, that sounds painful! xo, kat
This must be a recurring theme as I'm off to have my crown fixed next week at the expense of having my beautiful chaise re-upholstered. I'm feeling your pain.
I did this a few years ago and ended up having to get a root canal too! So $2600 later....
