Designer I love: Darryl Carter

I am over looking for a place and have resigned myself to one more redo of my current apartment. It is in a perfect location and is great for me for another year or so. Here is to my next look - highly influenced by one of my all-time favorite designers: Darryl Carter. His overall looks are too traditional for me (you know I love 70's glam!), but this loft apartment he did is almost my idea of perfection. Clean, pure Danish modern in architecture, plus soft linens and early American antiques. If he wasn't a black man I would think we are twins! :)

No wonder you were stonewalling. Nothing is more depressing than house hunting.

Can't wait to see what you do next! Although from these pictures it looks kinda similar to your last look? Or are you planning on bringing in more danish modern into it? Either way, very beautiful!! Can't wait to watch the process :) - Boo

It's true the colors are similar and I can't get away from what I love- I still have the branch art in my bedroom and my huge mirrored credenza - but I just want to pare down a lot more and not be as glammy as everyone else!
